Description
When John Barry died in 1803, his wife, Sara Barry, inherited the two people he enslaved, named James and Judith. His will stipulated that they would be freed either after Sara Barry remarried or after her death. This obituary indicates that Sara died in 1831. If they were still enslaved by her, Judith and James should have been freed in 1831 after her death.
