Description
Fr. Thomas C. Middleton was Villanova College's first librarian and archivist. He attended Villanova as a student from 1854 until the College's closure in 1857. During the Civil War, Middleton studied to become an Augustinian in Italy and then returned to Villanova in 1865. He was a professor, archivist, and librarian and wrote extensively on Villanova’s history. Middleton is the source for much of what has previously been written about the Mouldens. He died on November 19, 1923.
