Scrapbook of Thomas A. Daly's that includes articles he wrote between 1891 and 1922. This particular article is glued to the second page of the scrapbook, and the pages before and after are dated 1891 and 1894. It uses racial stereotypes for Black women throughout. In 1936, Daly wrote a column on Julia and William Moulden that draws from some of the same stereotypes that Daly used here.
