The State’s Health: What Dr. Benjamin Lee Has to Say About It: Harmonious Co-operation with Local Authorities Enables the Board to Make Great Progress in its Labors (1886)

Description

The Harrisburg Patriot's review of a pamphlet written by Dr. Benjamin Lee, a member of the State Board of Health, and a discussion of his career. The State Board of Health's involvement at Rosemont is mentioned. "Rosemont has been greatly benefited by visits from the Board. Nuisances at that place were supposed to have caused typhoid fever and malaria. The result was an abatement of the source of sickness and a general improvement of the sanitary condition." Though William Moulden, Benjamin Kerrigan, and Israel Supplee were not mentioned, they were all involved in the Board's investigation. Supplee had been ill from typhoid in the fall of 1885, and Moulden and Kerrigan were both asked to clean up their properties.
